Job Responsibilities

• Provide bathing, blow drying, brushing, de-shedding, and general coat upkeep.
• Execute breed-specific and custom haircutting requests.
• Trim pets’ nails, clean ears, and uphold comprehensive hygiene standards.
• Handle pets with varied temperaments safely and patiently.
• Observe and report skin issues, parasites, injuries, or other unusual signs to veterinary staff.
• Clean and sanitize grooming instruments and work areas.
• Adhere strictly to PetPro's hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Advise owners on grooming routines, coat care, and at-home maintenance tips.
• Suggest appropriate grooming products and service enhancements when suitable.
• Provide top-notch customer service and maintain detailed grooming documentation.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of experience in professional pet grooming preferred.
• Certification in pet grooming considered a plus.
• Familiarity with various dog and cat breeds, their coat characteristics, and grooming techniques.
• Ability to safely and patiently restrain pets during grooming.
• Strong communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
• Physically capable of standing for long durations and lifting animals as necessary.
• Collaborative spirit with a positive personality and a sincere passion for animals.

Additional Skills

• Expertise in hand scissoring and breed-standard styling methods.
• Understanding of pet behaviour and stress-reducing handling methods.
• Basic knowledge of animal health and hygiene principles.
• Ability to recommend and upsell grooming plans and retail products.
