Personal Security Officer

Job Summary

This role is focused on protecting employees, visitors, business assets, and day-to-day operations across the organization. The position calls for putting security procedures into practice, assessing risks, handling investigations, coordinating with police and other authorities when needed, and ensuring that the company’s security standards are followed. The job also includes managing physical security arrangements, emergency readiness, and security awareness efforts.

Personnel and Physical Security

• Create, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards for personnel and premises.
• Maintain strong access control at offices, branches, and other company sites.
• Track the deployment and effectiveness of security staff and external security service providers.
• Carry out regular inspections and vulnerability checks across all locations.
• Identify security gaps and put corrective actions in place.

Asset Protection

• Safeguard company assets, including cash, gold, documents, infrastructure, and sensitive information.
• Keep watch over CCTV, alarm systems, access control, and other surveillance infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance and routine testing of security equipment.

Incident Handling

• Look into security incidents, theft, fraud, breaches, and employee misconduct.
• Document findings in detailed investigation reports with actionable recommendations.
• Liaise with local police, law enforcement bodies, and regulatory agencies as required.
• Track incident records and ensure corrective actions are closed on time.

Risk, Compliance, and Audits

• Perform security risk reviews for existing as well as new business locations.
• Ensure alignment with internal security policies and legal/statutory obligations.
• Take part in internal and external audits related to safety and security.
• Support business continuity planning and crisis-management efforts.

Emergency Preparedness

• Design and roll out response plans for fire, theft, robbery, civil unrest, and other emergencies.
• Plan and conduct mock drills and preparedness exercises.
• Serve as the security point person during emergency situations.

Vendor and Contract Security Management

• Oversee outsourced security agencies and verify contractual compliance.
• Assess security vendors and suggest service improvements.
• Check deployment, attendance, and performance of contract security guards.

Training and Awareness

• Conduct security awareness sessions for employees.
• Train branch teams on emergency response and incident reporting processes.
• Encourage a strong security-first culture across the organization.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare periodic security updates, risk reviews, and MIS reports.
• Maintain records for audits, investigations, incidents, and compliance activities.
• Share security findings and recommendations with management.
