Role Overview
We are searching for a meticulous and highly organized People Operations Associate to partner with our People Analyst and support comprehensive HR activities spanning the entire employee lifecycle. This position involves managing essential HR functions such as benefits and 401(k) plan administration, professional employer organization (PEO) coordination, HR systems management, and workforce analytics. Additional responsibilities include facilitating new entity formation, assisting with international expansion, and handling equity issuance processes. This opportunity is well-suited for early-career HR professionals eager to engage with advanced People Operations within a dynamic and fast-paced workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee administration of the company's 401(k) plan, including enrollment, contributions, compliance, and interactions with vendors.
- Assist with annual benefits renewal and open enrollment in collaboration with PEO and benefits brokers.
- Manage day-to-day PEO operations, acting as a primary contact for employee record updates, benefits, payroll processes, and compliance challenges.
- Coordinate new company/entity setups with legal, finance, payroll, and benefits teams.
- Administer the unemployment claims workflow, collaborating with external partners to ensure timely documentation and responses.
- Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and internal documentation to safeguard compliance.
- Support equity issuance tasks, including onboarding coordination with legal teams and cap table service providers.
- Manage HR platforms and tools like HRIS, ATS, and payroll/PEO systems to ensure accuracy and maintain process documentation.
- Work with the People Analyst to produce people reports and analytics, covering headcount, turnover rates, and workforce insights.
- Support international expansion efforts by liaising with external consultants on employment, payroll, and benefit setups internationally.
- Lead people-centric projects throughout all stages of employee experience, such as onboarding, offboarding, audits, and compliance efforts.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a comparable discipline.
- At least five years of relevant experience in HR, People Operations, or associated administrative roles; internships and contract engagements are welcomed.
- Familiarity with or strong interest in benefits management, PEO frameworks, and HR technologies.
- Keen attention to detail and enthusiasm for establishing clean, scalable processes.
- Data-oriented mindset with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Tech-savvy and quick to adopt new software tools; prior experience with HRIS, ATS, PEO platforms, or collaboration tools like Notion and Slack is advantageous.
- High ethical standards and the capacity to handle confidential employee information with professionalism.
- Self-driven, reliable, and motivated to contribute and grow within a small, impactful People Operations team.
Work Location and Schedule
This role is based at TriEdge's office in Hudson Yards, New York. Presence in the office is expected Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
Compensation
The annual base pay for this role ranges from 110000 to 130000 USD, excluding any performance-related bonuses or additional benefits. Salary offers may vary depending on experience, education, and skill level. The position qualifies for an annual performance bonus.
