Patient Services Representatives serve as the essential liaison connecting patients, healthcare providers, and insurers to ensure smooth navigation of the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact point for patients, assisting with appointment bookings, insurance eligibility checks, billing questions, and coordinating care efforts.
• Handle issues related to medical records, referral processes, prescriptions, and documentation with empathy and accuracy.
• Maintain and update patient details using CRM and EHR systems while tracking communication and alerting clinical teams to urgent concerns.
• Work closely with care coordinators and billing professionals to guarantee accurate service and minimize patient difficulties.
• Record all patient communications thoroughly, strictly following HIPAA and organizational privacy policies.
• Enhance patient satisfaction by identifying common challenges and suggesting improvements to processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency with CRM applications such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Maxient, or similar platforms.
• Experience using Electronic Health Records software like Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth, or equivalents.
• Knowledge of health insurance verification procedures.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
• Experience in call center environments and appointment scheduling systems.
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with telehealth platforms (e.g., Doxy.me, Zoom for Healthcare), medical terminology certification (such as CMAA), and experience with Medicaid/Medicare enrollment.
