Painter/Laborer

Job Overview

The position of Painter/Laborer involves managing all painting duties from preparation through completion while also providing support to other departments as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean surfaces before applying paint layers.
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of painting equipment.
• Dispose of chemical waste safely according to regulations.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including painting goggles.
• Apply various painting methods tailored to different surfaces.
• Provide assistance in other departments as necessary.
• Occasionally drive to obtain paint supplies as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year experience in surface preparation techniques like sanding, wet sanding, and buffing is required.
• At least 1 year of hands-on painting experience across multiple surfaces including aluminum, fiberglass, and both smooth and textured surfaces.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Over 2 years of comprehensive painting experience on varied surfaces such as aluminum, fiberglass, and rough textures is advantageous.
• Demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
• Capability to follow detailed instructions and work orders accurately.
• Able to perform efficiently under tight deadlines and aggressive scheduling.
• Forklift certification is considered a plus.

Work Schedule

• This role operates on the first shift, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Overtime hours may be required as business needs dictate.

Additional Conditions

Selected candidates must successfully pass background and drug screenings. Compliance with ATF regulations for firearm possession is mandatory for this role.
