About the Company

The Operational Excellence & Projects team at SCHOTT leads numerous challenging initiatives across various global business units, including serial ramp-ups, material flow management, and optimizations in indirect areas. This pivotal position is based at the company headquarters in Mainz.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, plan, and execute projects throughout the entire value chain within SCHOTT's different business units.
• Serve as an internal consultant, offering content-related, strategic, and methodological guidance while being accountable for achieving project goals and successfully implementing results.
• Establish transparency of end-to-end processes by analyzing multi-level workflows and demonstrating the impact of measures on process performance.
• Ensure measurement of pertinent project key performance indicators and collaborate with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Actively promote best practices, standardization, and operational excellence across the entire company.

Candidate Profile

• Possess an engineering degree with several years of professional experience in an international industrial corporation, primarily focusing on operational excellence.
• Demonstrated project management experience in a production environment.
• Strong expertise in Lean Management, particularly in process optimization, redesign, or automation. Practical knowledge of Lean Administration and techniques such as value stream mapping and swimlane diagrams is essential.
• Willingness to participate in international projects involving business travel.
• Exceptional presentation and moderation skills combined with excellent communication and teamwork abilities across all hierarchy levels, complemented by a high degree of independence.
