About the Role

Our stores operate in a fast-moving, dynamic atmosphere where every day brings something new. As an Online Assistant, you will be key to ensuring online customers experience a seamless shopping process, receiving all their Sainsbury's purchases promptly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and select top-quality products from the shop floor matching online orders, including providing suitable substitutes for out-of-stock items.
  • Utilize a specialized handset to navigate an optimized store picking route, tracking required products and timing for order completion.
  • Handle behind-the-scenes tasks such as answering customer inquiries, processing orders, and assisting in loading delivery vans for Home Delivery Drivers.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions proactively and offering assistance.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of store products, services, and promotions to offer informed recommendations.
  • Adapt to various store roles as needed to support overall operations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be at least the school-leaving age as per local regulations.
  • For shifts beginning before 6am or ending after 11pm, candidates must be 18 years or older.
  • Right to work eligibility in the UK is mandatory.
