Role Overview
The Nutrition Manager will take charge of designing, developing, and executing nutrition-related programs and services for clients as well as partner organizations. This full-time position based in Harare requires assessing nutritional requirements, crafting customized meal plans, and establishing scientifically-grounded nutrition policies aligned with health objectives. Collaboration with healthcare providers, community groups, and internal teams will be essential to deliver educational sessions, workshops, and informational materials.
Daily tasks involve monitoring program effectiveness, ensuring adherence to regulations and standards, and maintaining comprehensive records and reports. The manager will also provide guidance to team members, assist with ongoing program enhancements, and engage in community outreach efforts promoting healthy living practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in nutrition science, dietary guidelines, and public health concepts is essential.
- Proficiency in planning, implementing, and evaluating nutrition or wellness programs is required.
- Strong skills in client nutrition assessment, tailored meal planning, and personalized counseling.
- Effective organizational abilities including meticulous documentation and data management.
- Clear and confident communication and presentation skills for training and stakeholder interaction.
- A relevant academic qualification such as a degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related area, supplemented by professional certification or registration where applicable.
- Capability to operate collaboratively within an onsite environment in Harare, manage several tasks concurrently, and uphold ethical standards.
- Experience in community nutrition, clinical nutrition, or wellness program oversight is advantageous.
