About the Role and Company
Nestlé Nigeria Plc., part of the world's largest Food and Beverage company, is hiring Nutrition Advisors across various locations in Nigeria on a one-year contract basis. The company's core mission is to enhance life quality and promote healthier futures.
Position Summary
The Nutrition Advisor will provide accurate, science-based information related to infant nutrition to Health Care Professionals (HCPs) within designated territories. This will be performed adhering strictly to WHO, local, and organizational codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trustworthy source of information regarding infant nutrition products.
- Develop and nurture strategic relationships with key Health Care Professionals.
- Identify opportunities to fulfill service level satisfaction based on local needs.
- Advise on investment decisions and plan activities targeting potential HCPs.
- Detect obstacles affecting performance in territories and offer viable solutions.
- Monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet objectives.
- Support implementation of the WHO Management System.
- Maintain and update HCP contact lists, ensuring call frequency meets agreed standards for efficient coverage.
- Plan and conduct territory coverage via cycle detailing and other marketing tactics prescribed by management.
- Carry out trade compliance checks regarding WHO/local codes, product availability, market hygiene, completeness of product ranges, and report on competitor activities, stock, and pricing.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Nutrition/Dietetics, Food Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Medical Sciences, or related scientific fields.
- Experience ranging from none up to two years in a similar capacity.
- Sound understanding of WHO/local codes on infant nutrition.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, especially with expecting mothers.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply nutrition standards and relevant product knowledge.
- Effective time management, organizational capabilities, and planning skills.
- Proficient communication and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing skills, and excellent interpersonal relations.
- Proactive, creative, and initiative-driven approach.
- Adaptable and flexible to changing environments.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
