About the Role
Join RAC as a Roadside Technician working night shifts in Leicester and surrounding areas including Oadby, Wigston, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, and Loughborough. This position involves providing expert roadside assistance and vehicle diagnostics to RAC members, helping get vehicles back on the road swiftly and safely. You will start and finish your day at home, covering locally to ensure efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs and fault diagnostics on vehicles directly at roadside locations.
- Deliver prompt emergency breakdown assistance including battery replacements and tyre changes.
- Ensure each customer receives reassuring and professional service during vehicle breakdown situations.
- Manage your equipment, including RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit to support your daily work.
Qualifications and Experience
- Either hold an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification) with a minimum of 2 years experience.
- Or possess at least 5 years of experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
- Possess a full UK driving license with fewer than 6 points.
