Role Overview

Join NZ Post as a Network Resource Optimisation Specialist to play a key part in ensuring the delivery network is staffed effectively with the right personnel, locations, and timings. As a part of the Network Management team, you will lead labour and resource planning efforts that drive operational efficiency across the Customer Service Delivery network.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating detailed workforce and labour plans aligned with forecasted operational demands.
• Analyzing historical data, operational trends, and forecasts to predict future resource needs.
• Collaborating with operational leaders to deploy workforce planning methods at various sites.
• Supporting network design changes by evaluating workforce effects and requirements.
• Managing peak period resource planning and contributing to annual budgeting processes.
• Monitoring labour utilization, productivity levels, and cost efficiency.
• Identifying and applying improvements to workforce planning tools and procedures.

Candidate Profile

We seek a commercially savvy and analytical professional who thrives on dissecting complex operational issues within dynamic environments. Confidence in influencing stakeholders and strong data-driven decision-making skills are essential.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or network operations with a focus on workforce planning.
• Demonstrated experience working with senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to convert complex data into actionable insight.
• Previous involvement in large-scale, network-oriented operational environments.
• A mindset geared towards continuous improvement and innovation in work methods.
