MRAP/JLTV Vehicle C4I System Supervisor

Role Overview

The MRAP/JLTV Vehicle C4I System Supervisor oversees the operations and management of the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems installed within MRAP vehicles. Responsibilities include securing equipment access, maintaining accountability for computer hardware, radios, and electronic systems, and providing expert technical support on related hardware, software, and user issues. The role maintains alignment with maintenance directives from the U.S. Air Force and ensures compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum's ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complete C4I electronic systems on MRAP vehicles, including Tactical Communication (TACOM), Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance & Navigation (ISRN), and Counter Radio Frequency Electronic Warfare (CREW) for IED defeat.
• Develop, plan, and schedule preventative maintenance procedures for C4I systems based on manufacturer guidelines and environmental conditions specific to the Middle East, updating procedures as needed based on usage data or directives.
• Create and update reconnaissance inspection and repair procedures to ensure equipment readiness.
• Optimize use of resources and personnel to efficiently complete inspections, maintenance, and other assigned tasks.
• Enforce adherence to safety standards and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Manage resource allocation to meet production and operational demands.
• Record all maintenance activities, both scheduled and unscheduled, in the USAF Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS).
• Maintain accurate inventory records for all electronic equipment in required systems including IMDS.
• Prepare vehicles and equipment for transportation via air, sea, or surface methods.
• Provide supervision and assistance to MRAP technicians.
• Ensure availability and completeness of parts inventory for mid-level repairs on electronic and C4I equipment, including necessary mounting hardware.
• Maintain secure and limited access storage for C4I and pilferable MRAP items, coordinating with Supply personnel to control access to physical operating stocks.
• Deliver in-house training to incoming C4I technicians and conduct refresher or upgrade courses incorporating practical elements.
• Train vehicle mechanics on procedures when working near sensitive electronic equipment.
• Participate in necessary upgrade training sessions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, working both indoors in office or maintenance environments and outdoors as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficient with personal computers utilizing Windows OS and Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Comprehensive understanding of standard industry software, peripherals, PCs, networking, and communications systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions and exercise sound judgment on complex issues.
• Valid driver’s license from home country and capability to obtain a driver's license in the host country.
• Capability to operate material handling equipment as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent credential.
• At least two years of practical experience as a C4I Electronics Technician or Supervisor in the field.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance; US citizenship is mandatory for clearance.
• Ability to handle exposure to high noise levels from operational equipment.
• Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements tailored to the task.
• Physically fit to perform job duties which include lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel within the country and internationally.

Preferred Credentials

• Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology is advantageous.
• Completion of C4I Systems training from recognized programs such as those offered by Egan, McAllister and Associates at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR) or equivalent civilian technical education.
