Mold Designer (Injection Mould)

About the Company

We are a prominent manufacturer specializing in plastic household items, including PET jars, water bottles, caps, preforms, and custom injection moulded products, supported by our own tool room facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D designs of plastic products.
• Develop comprehensive designs for injection moulds.
• Design core components such as core, cavity, sliders, lifters, and cooling systems integral to mould function.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings for production.
• Design both hot runner and cold runner moulds to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Perform draft angle and wall thickness analyses to ensure design integrity.
• Collaborate closely with tool room and production teams to facilitate smooth operations.
• Enhance existing mould designs to decrease cycle times and improve efficiency.
• Support the development of new products by contributing mould design expertise.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues related to moulds.
• Verify that moulds are fit for large-scale manufacturing.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3 to 8 years of professional experience in injection mould design.
• Proficient in 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Siemens NX.
• In-depth understanding of injection moulding processes.
• Knowledge of various plastic materials including PP, HDPE, PET, ABS, and PC.
• Experience in both product design and mould development phases.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and industry standards.
• Strong communication skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
