Merchandising Manager

Overview

ChillCare Apparels is seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead and oversee merchandising operations at our Mumbai location. This role involves managing a team, coordinating order progress from development through shipment, and collaborating across various departments to ensure smooth manufacturing and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties

• Lead and coach a team comprising merchandisers and sampling coordinators.
• Distribute buyers and order responsibilities among the merchandising team.
• Track progress of orders from development levels to dispatched shipments.
• Work closely with production, planning, sourcing, quality assurance, and logistics units.
• Organize periodic order review meetings and ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
• Detect production and merchandising obstacles early and facilitate their resolution.
• Ensure accuracy in Bills of Materials, Time & Action calendars, approvals, and ERP system records.
• Maintain effective communication with customers about approvals, timelines, and delivery schedules.
• Drive continuous process improvements by establishing and implementing standard operating procedures within merchandising.
• Provide training and growth opportunities for junior merchandising staff.

Candidate Profile

• 8 to 15 years of merchandising experience within garment manufacturing.
• At least 3 years leading a merchandising team.
• In-depth knowledge of woven and knit garment production processes.
• Experience managing multiple buyers and handling high-volume orders.
• Strong planning, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Proficient with ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel, and production planning tools.
• Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Able to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background working with garment exporters or large-scale domestic manufacturers.
• Exposure to nylon, activewear, seamless garments, sportswear, or performance apparel sectors.
• Experience in introducing systems and process enhancements within merchandising functions.

Compensation

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 60,000 to 120,000 INR.
