MEP - Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems to join our team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses heavily on the implementation and supervision of electrical installations, ensuring adherence to technical standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the installation of electrical components such as HT/LT panels, power distribution systems, lighting installations (both internal and external), grounding arrangements, and backup power systems.
• Provide supervision and guidance to subcontractors ensuring work is executed according to approved drawings (Good for Construction - GFC), technical specs, and prescribed quality benchmarks.
• Perform thorough inspections of electrical works to identify any defects or non-compliance issues and ensure corrective actions are promptly taken.
• Assist in preparing documentation including material submittals, installation methodology statements, and checklists to facilitate proper execution of electrical work.

Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in installation activities involving electrical systems such as HT/LT panels, transformers, diesel generator sets, cable laying, terminations, lighting and power distribution networks, and grounding systems.
• Capability to carry out load calculations, voltage drop analyses, as well as electrical testing and commissioning procedures.
• Good command of design and documentation tools like AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and site supervision protocols, including safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively and maintain a safety-first approach.
