Medical Courier

About the Role

Join Quest Diagnostics as a Medical Courier in Lubbock, TX, working Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, with a rotating Saturday shift every four weeks from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. In this position, you will be a critical link in delivering medical specimens and lab materials on a consistent route, ensuring timely and accurate transportation to aid healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, transport, and deliver lab specimens and materials along a predetermined schedule.
• Maintain professional communication with healthcare providers including doctors, nurses, and lab technicians to facilitate timely deliveries.
• Operate a company vehicle safely without requiring a commercial driver’s license.
• Utilize handheld scanners and digital routing software to monitor delivery progress.
• Adhere to strict protocols for specimen handling, including labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Follow all relevant safety and privacy regulations such as DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal company standards.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years driving history and no more than two moving violations in the past 36 months, with none in the last year.
• Strong customer service aptitude and effective communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording required documentation.
• Capability to work independently and resolve issues during deliveries.
• Comfortable using mobile technology for tracking and documentation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain active throughout shifts.
• Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, courier duties, or logistics preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage starting at $18.35, with pay adjusted based on skills, training, experience, and certifications.
