About the Role

Join MBRF in Jeddah as a Mechanical Technician and contribute to a global food company dedicated to quality and innovation. You'll play a vital part in delivering reliable operations and ensuring the highest standards in both machinery and process safety.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical failures within assigned areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections and perform maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition.
  • Uphold high standards for mechanical operations and quality controls.
  • Implement corrective, preventive, and scheduled maintenance procedures, using Kanban systems as needed.
  • Strictly follow all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, as well as food safety and HACCP requirements.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Handle and manage chemical products safely and appropriately.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP), 5S, and food defense regulations.
  • Work to reduce equipment repair time by maintaining an effective presence on the production lines.
  • Document mechanical anomalies, complete notifications in the PM system, and close work orders accordingly.
  • Report faults, identify the need for overhauls, and recommend spare parts.
  • Develop troubleshooting documentation using root cause analysis (RCA) for major mechanical issues.
  • Engage with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for critical spare parts and technical issues.
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting across multiple skills, including motors, automation, MHE, and other projects.
  • Serve as backup for your immediate supervisor when necessary.
  • Contribute to team training and development programs.
  • Independently overhaul equipment, motors, and related factory components.
  • Identify local support resources and implement cost-effective solutions for spare parts.
  • Ensure compliance with MBRF’s Sustainability Policy and ESG commitments, aligning daily work to sustainability and global performance indicators.

Academic Requirements

Completion of a 2-year technical course in Mechanical Trade or a related discipline is required.
