Job Overview

We are seeking a Field Mechanical Technician to join a proactive operational team focused on the upkeep, repair, and installation of industrial mechanical systems across various locations. This role is highly practical and based in the field, involving work with pumps, rotating machinery, and handling systems. Responsibilities range from troubleshooting and emergency response to dismantling, rebuilding, and conducting scheduled maintenance in diverse operational settings.

Primary Duties

• Perform installation, servicing, and repairs of mechanical systems on site.
• Identify and resolve faults, supporting rapid breakdown interventions.
• Disassemble, overhaul, and fix pumps, motors, and related industrial equipment.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance procedures.
• Operate across multiple field locations.
• Assist with workshop-based repairs and refurbishments as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards while working in outdoor, confined, and operational environments.
• Document job activities via mobile platforms and paperwork.
• Participate in on-call and emergency response rotations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude, formal qualifications not required.
• Experience using tools and working with machinery or industrial plant equipment.
• Strong practical problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills.
• Capable of performing in physically demanding, outdoor conditions.
• Commitment to safety in all work tasks.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.

Preferred but Not Required

• Familiarity with pumps, hydraulics, or rotating equipment.
• Experience with confined space work, manual handling, or lifting.
• Background in maintenance, plant operations, or field service.
• Skills in welding or fabrication.
