Cricket for Climate is an Australian non-profit organisation founded by Test Captain Pat Cummins. The organisation partners with governments, sporting bodies, businesses, councils, and communities to safeguard cricket and broader sports by implementing practical climate and energy solutions.
Role Overview
The Marketing Communications Coordinator supports Cricket for Climate's communications, events, national programs, and partnerships. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, this hands-on role involves campaign delivery, event coordination, content creation, and storytelling to engage communities and stakeholders across Australia's sporting ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage marketing and communication activities and campaigns across various platforms.
- Coordinate community events, activations, academies, conferences, and stakeholder engagement initiatives linked to sport and sustainability education.
- Produce compelling content for social media, websites, newsletters, and digital campaigns highlighting positive environmental contributions of clubs and volunteers.
- Work collaboratively with athletes, sporting organisations, government entities, local councils, businesses, and community leaders.
- Handle logistical details for events including supplier liaison, registrations, and venue arrangements; deliver on-site event execution and post-event reporting.
- Support project coordination by organizing meetings, managing timelines, maintaining stakeholder databases, and assisting with impact measurement and reporting.
- Assist in managing agency and supplier relationships.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants are early-career professionals with 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, events, or community engagement, passionate about sport and environmental sustainability. They possess excellent organisational, communication, and project management skills, demonstrate a proactive and collaborative mindset, and can manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience
- Background in planning and delivering sporting or community events.
- Exposure to sporting organisations, clubs, or major sports events.
- Experience in non-profit or community sectors.
- Familiarity with agency collaboration.
