Marketing and Events Intern

Role Overview

Join IKIGAI Motors AU as a Marketing and Events Intern to assist in content creation, event support, and marketing research. This internship will provide practical experience in filming, editing, social media, and event coordination within an automotive-focused environment based in Northcote, Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in filming and photography following predefined shot lists focusing on deliveries, workshop activities, and events.
• Edit short video clips by trimming, adding captions, and designing story covers, with content subject to review before publication.
• Provide on-site assistance during events, including setup, managing guest flow, facilitating QR lead form collection, and event pack-down.
• Conduct research on local businesses, clubs, and event opportunities to help grow the marketing pipeline.
• Maintain and organize media assets including folders, file naming conventions, and obtain consent notes when customers are featured on camera.
• Create draft social media captions and basic graphic tiles using Canva templates pending mentor approval prior to posting.
• Attend weekly marketing meetings, take notes, and follow through on assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Current enrollment or recent completion of studies in marketing, media, communications, events, or a strong self-taught passion in these areas.
• Dependable attendance for scheduled shifts, including some weekends for events planned well in advance.
• Eagerness to learn, accept constructive feedback, and maintain professional conduct at the workplace.
• Basic proficiency with smartphone or video capture and familiarity with Google Drive tools.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrable personal content related to automotive or lifestyle sectors.
• Experience with video editing tools such as CapCut or Premiere Rush.
• Local knowledge of Melbourne and interest in attending or supporting events.
