Job Overview
This role involves supervising daily operations across restaurants, bars, and room service areas to enhance guest satisfaction and optimize financial performance. The manager assists with menu planning, maintains hygiene standards, and supports staff during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily activities of outlets including restaurants, bars, and room service.
- Supervise and manage employees effectively, stepping in to perform their duties when necessary.
- Maintain service excellence and sanitation standards throughout all points of service.
- Manage staffing levels to meet customer service needs and financial goals.
- Lead and motivate the team through positive communication, coaching, mentoring, and by setting a strong example.
- Develop and implement training programs to meet departmental objectives and comply with food safety and liquor laws.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food & beverage policies, laws, and sanitation regulations.
- Build a collaborative work environment fostering trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Promote exceptional customer service practices, handle guest complaints efficiently, and regularly collect customer feedback.
- Monitor financial aspects, including purchasing and invoice payments.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years’ experience in food and beverage or related field; or
- Associate degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related area with 2 years’ experience in the field.
Additional Duties
- Provide guidance and performance monitoring to team members, setting clear expectations and fostering professional development.
- Encourage an open-door policy and solicit employee feedback to address workplace concerns and improve retention.
- Assist floor staff during peak operation periods to maintain smooth service.
- Evaluate operational results to develop and implement continuous improvements.
