About the Company

Airbnb began in 2007, when two hosts welcomed three guests into their home in San Francisco. Since then, the platform has expanded to millions of hosts and more than 2 billion guest arrivals across nearly every country in the world. Its mission is to help people connect with communities through distinctive stays and experiences.

Role Overview

As the Luxe Market Manager Field Manager for EMEA and APAC, you will lead a team of market experts focused on expanding Airbnb Luxe supply in the region’s most sought-after destinations. You will shape strategy, coach your team, and take ownership of outcomes to help the Luxe portfolio grow while preserving the premium standards that define the product.

This position blends team leadership, commercial planning, and deep luxury-market knowledge. You will oversee the full supply lifecycle for your team, from sourcing and acquisition through host account management and portfolio refinement. You will also act as a senior regional representative for Luxe, both internally and externally. The role calls for someone who can set regional growth direction, support a team through difficult host conversations, and solve operational challenges across varied and fast-changing markets.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Direct, coach, and grow a team of Luxe Market Managers across EMEA and APAC while setting clear goals and reinforcing accountability, excellence, and ongoing development.
  • Act as the primary leadership contact for the team by offering business coaching, practical direction, and hands-on help with complex host relationships, market launches, and escalations.
  • Spot high-potential talent and prepare team members for broader responsibilities and future advancement.
  • Foster a collaborative, motivated, inclusive culture that supports strong performance.

Regional Strategy and Supply Growth

  • Own the regional supply plan for EMEA and APAC, prioritizing acquisition, host quality, and portfolio improvement.
  • Steer territory strategies so teams can adapt their approach based on market maturity, host segments, and competition.
  • Build and scale acquisition initiatives that bring exceptional new homes into the Luxe portfolio, including direct outreach, luxury real estate partnerships, and property manager relationships.
  • Uncover underserved markets and supply opportunities across EMEA and APAC and turn those insights into practical growth plans.

Host Relationships and Quality Standards

  • Protect and promote the Luxe brand and standards across the region so every listing delivers the level of experience expected by Airbnb’s most selective guests.
  • Guide the team in developing and maintaining strong relationships with premium hosts, estate managers, and luxury property management firms.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for difficult host issues and cross-functional blockers, resolving them while maintaining trust and portfolio quality.

Performance and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Take ownership of regional business performance and ensure markets deliver on supply, revenue, and quality targets.
  • Work closely with Luxe leadership, Guest Services, Content & Quality, Marketing, RevOps, Policy, and Product to launch initiatives that improve host performance and speed up supply growth.
  • Share market intelligence and host feedback with internal teams to help shape product and policy decisions.
  • Distribute successful playbooks and approaches across the global Luxe organization to support wider growth.

Experience and Expertise

  • At least 10 years of experience in sales, business development, luxury hospitality, or marketplace management, including 4+ years leading and scaling field-based teams.
  • Strong understanding of the luxury travel and real estate environment in EMEA and/or APAC, with a clear ability to drive growth in varied and complex markets.
  • A demonstrated record of achieving or surpassing supply acquisition and revenue goals through a team in a fast-moving, metrics-led setting.
  • Experience developing and managing high-value partnerships with luxury real estate professionals, property managers, or estate operators.
  • Comfort using CRM systems and performance dashboards, with the ability to keep pipelines disciplined and guide data-backed decisions across the team.

Skills and Competencies

  • Confident, empathetic leadership style with a strong bias toward action and a proven ability to coach and empower strong teams.
  • Executive presence with the ability to earn trust and influence senior stakeholders both inside the company and across the luxury sector.
  • Strategic, analytical approach that uses data and market signals to shape portfolio decisions across changing markets.
  • Strong market awareness and the ability to quickly assess opportunities and convert them into actionable team plans.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to create compelling narratives for internal leaders and senior hosts.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple markets, priorities, and relationships at the same time.

Mindset

  • Strong alignment with Airbnb’s mission and genuine enthusiasm for luxury travel and high-end homes.
  • Consultative, relationship-led approach that prioritizes trust building before pushing for results.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to raise barriers early and bring recommendations rather than just issues.
  • Collaborative working style, with an understanding that success depends on close partnership across the team and the wider Luxe organization.

Location and Travel Requirements

This position requires travel for up to 50% of the year across EMEA and APAC markets, including team offsites. English fluency is mandatory, and additional language ability is considered a plus.

Inclusion and Belonging

Airbnb encourages applications from a broad and diverse talent pool. The company believes varied perspectives drive innovation and better engagement, helping create strong products, services, and solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay for this role depends on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions. The salary shown is annualized and may change in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
