About the Role
Airbnb began in 2007, when two hosts opened their San Francisco home to three guests. Since then, the platform has grown into a global community of more than 5 million hosts and over 2 billion guest arrivals across nearly every country. Each day, hosts create distinctive stays and experiences that help travelers connect with local communities in a more authentic way.
As the Luxe Market Manager Field Manager for EMEA and APAC, you will lead a group of market specialists focused on expanding Airbnb Luxe supply in the region’s most desirable destinations. You will define the strategy, coach the team, and be accountable for outcomes, helping the Luxe portfolio grow while upholding the premium standards that set the tier apart.
This position blends people leadership, commercial planning, and deep knowledge of the luxury market. You will guide Luxe Market Managers across the full supply journey, from prospecting and acquisition to host account management and portfolio improvement, while acting as the senior regional representative for Luxe both inside and outside the company. The role calls for someone who can move between strategic planning, coaching through difficult host negotiations, and hands-on problem solving in a wide range of fast-changing markets.
What You Will Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Luxe Market Managers across EMEA and APAC, while establishing clear goals and a culture built on excellence, ownership, and ongoing development.
- Act as the primary leader for the team by offering business guidance, clear direction, and direct support on complex host relationships, market launches, and escalations.
- Spot high-potential team members and help prepare them for broader responsibilities and future leadership roles.
- Promote a motivated, inclusive, and high-performing team environment that supports collaboration and strong results.
- Own the regional supply strategy for EMEA and APAC, including priorities around acquisition, host quality, and portfolio optimization.
- Shape territory plans by helping teams adapt their approach based on market maturity, host segments, and competitor activity.
- Build and scale acquisition initiatives that add exceptional homes to the Luxe portfolio, including direct outreach, luxury real estate partnerships, and relationships with property managers.
- Find underdeveloped markets and supply opportunities across EMEA and APAC, turning market intelligence into practical growth plans.
- Protect and promote the Luxe brand and quality bar across the region so each home delivers the experience expected by Airbnb’s most discerning guests.
- Support the team in developing and sustaining relationships with premium hosts, estate managers, and luxury property management firms.
- Serve as a senior escalation contact for difficult host matters and cross-functional issues, resolving them without weakening trust or portfolio quality.
- Be accountable for regional business results, ensuring markets deliver on supply, revenue, and quality targets.
- Work closely with Luxe leadership, Guest Services, Content & Quality, Marketing, RevOps, Policy, and Product to launch initiatives that improve host performance and accelerate supply growth.
- Bring market insights and host feedback back to internal teams to help shape product and policy decisions.
- Share successful playbooks and tested approaches across the global Luxe organization to support wider growth.
Experience and Background
We are looking for a leader with more than 10 years of experience in sales, business development, luxury hospitality, or marketplace management, including at least 4 years of experience leading and scaling field-based teams. You should bring strong knowledge of the luxury travel and real estate landscape in EMEA and/or APAC, along with a proven ability to drive growth across complex and varied markets.
A successful candidate will have a track record of meeting or surpassing supply acquisition and revenue goals through team leadership in a fast-moving, metrics-focused environment. Experience building and managing high-value relationships with luxury real estate professionals, property managers, or estate operators is important, as is comfort using CRM systems and performance dashboards to maintain pipeline discipline and make data-led decisions.
Skills and Competencies
- You are a confident, empathetic leader who takes initiative and knows how to develop, coach, and inspire strong teams.
- You bring strong executive presence and can earn trust and influence senior decision-makers both inside the company and across the luxury sector.
- You think strategically and analytically, using data and market insight to guide portfolio decisions across changing markets.
- You have sharp commercial instincts and can quickly assess a territory, identify opportunities, and turn them into executable plans.
- You communicate clearly and effectively in both writing and speaking, and can adapt your message for internal stakeholders and senior host audiences.
- You are highly organized and able to manage multiple markets, priorities, and relationships at the same time.
Mindset
- You feel aligned with Airbnb’s mission and have genuine enthusiasm for luxury travel and premium homes.
- You prefer a consultative, relationship-first style and focus on building trust before pushing for results.
- You are proactive and solution-oriented, able to spot obstacles early and bring clear recommendations.
- You work well in a collaborative environment and understand that success depends on close partnership with the wider Luxe organization.
Location and Travel Requirements
This role requires up to 50% travel each year across EMEA and APAC markets, including travel for team offsites.
English fluency is required. Additional language ability is considered a strong advantage.
Inclusion and Belonging
Airbnb is committed to reaching the broadest possible talent pool. The company believes that diverse perspectives encourage innovation and engagement, while helping attract creative people and build better products, services, and solutions. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

The base salary depends on several factors, including training, transferable skills, experience, business needs, and market conditions.
