Manager - Logistics & Warehousing

Role Overview

We seek a Manager or Senior Manager to oversee the Logistics and Warehousing operations at our Greater Noida plant. This role involves ensuring smooth dispatch workflows through meticulous planning, precise execution, and detailed reporting via MIS (Management Information System).

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee dispatch operations ensuring seamless process execution aligned with plans and comprehensive MIS reporting.
• Manage incoming customer orders and indents, implementing control mechanisms to maintain order accuracy.
• Ensure timely delivery of orders adhering strictly to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Prepare detailed MIS reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis for the dispatch department.
• Collaborate daily with the planning team to address sales inquiries related to orders and supply status.
• Fulfill business goals by dispatching the correct quantity and quality of products within agreed timelines.
• Plan and ensure dispatch vehicle scheduling meets planned targets and SLA benchmarks daily.
• Manage modern trade dispatches ensuring agreed turnaround time (TAT) and shelf-life SLAs are met.
• Lead the process of obtaining quotes and approvals for market vehicle requirements from authorized personnel.
• Oversee product shelf-life management, communicating and coordinating actions concerning near expiry inventory.
• Coordinate daily with transporters for vehicle call-offs, vehicle placement, and resolving operational issues.
• Manage warehouse space effectively, organizing stocks batch-wise for storage and dispatch.
• Ensure proper movement of materials from production storage into the warehouse, tracking batch details accurately.
• Implement First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles during dispatch operations.
• Conduct daily physical stock verifications and reconcile discrepancies between physical and book stock records.
• Manage vehicle operations both at the plant and in transit while monitoring vehicle turnaround times.
• Verify and process freight bills, issue debit and credit notes concerning transporter accounts.
• Manage month-end closing procedures including physical stock checks.
• Ensure issuance and amendment of E-Way bills before dispatch or receipt of vehicles as necessary.
• Enforce strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols within operational areas.
• Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) usage to maintain workplace safety.
• Operate systems compliant with safety standards to prevent accidents and protect infrastructure.
• Maintain thorough dispatch documentation and records for audits and other compliance requirements.
• Support team cross-training and continuous skill development efforts.
• Provide guidance to improve dispatch team service levels, KPIs, and quality delivery.
• Liaise with manpower contractors to communicate daily labor needs.
• Effectively manage, engage, and motivate a large team, defining clear KRAs and objectively evaluating performance.
• Conduct regular safety walkthroughs to promote a strong safety culture.

Educational Qualification

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is required. Possession of an MBA or an advanced certification in supply chain management will be considered an advantage.

Experience Requirements

The ideal candidate should have 8 to 10 years of proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably within the Food or FMCG industry.
