Role Overview
As the Manager of Internal Communications for Stores & Fleet, you will spearhead how essential information is conveyed to frontline staff. Your leadership will shape communication strategies for fleet teams, ensuring employees comprehend updates, their significance, and the impact on their roles. Collaborating closely with leaders, you will transform complex priorities into straightforward, actionable messages that cultivate alignment, trust, and understanding in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the communication planning and strategy for fleet teams aligned with overarching organizational priorities.
- Create coordinated communication plans that utilize optimal timing, channels, and messaging approaches.
- Partner with leadership to craft messages that support business objectives while enhancing employee clarity.
- Simplify intricate updates into clear, actionable content tailored for frontline employees.
- Manage the production of targeted communications spanning channels such as email, huddles, intranet, and toolkits.
- Lead and mentor a small communications team while fostering partnerships across HR, operations, and corporate communications.
Required Qualifications
- Over 8 years of experience in internal or corporate communications or related fields, including at least 2 years in management roles.
- Proven success in designing and implementing communication strategies for large, widely distributed audiences.
- Ability to distill complex subject matter into concise, practical messages.
- Experience advising senior leadership and aiding in strategic decision-making processes.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills focusing on clarity and influence.
- Strong multitasking capabilities within fast-paced environments and proficient teamwork across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in supporting retail, frontline, or deskless employee populations.
- Experience with change communication and managing large-scale organizational projects.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $98,300 to $157,400, depending on experience, location, and other factors. REI ensures pay equity and transparency as required by law.
