About the Role
KPMG New Zealand is a highly regarded global professional services firm focused on providing expert solutions to complex business challenges. Within the Cyber Security Consulting team, you will be part of a dynamic and evolving environment offering broad services that help clients navigate continuously changing cyber threats. Services include strategy and governance assessments, security program transformation, cyber defence, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage client projects to assess and mitigate cyber security risks across various industries and domains.
- Plan and deliver comprehensive cyber security advisory and assurance engagements.
- Develop collaborative relationships internally and externally, working closely with specialists and stakeholders.
- Contribute to client proposals and support growth and mentorship within the team.
- Maintain high-quality standards and apply innovation while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of consulting experience in cyber security.
- Hands-on expertise in security architecture, risk management, governance, strategy, incident management, and vulnerability assessment.
- Strong knowledge of cyber security expectations specific to the New Zealand public sector.
- Proven ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate across disciplines and service lines.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional certifications.
- Excellent communication skills tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive, motivated, and results-oriented with a practical approach to problem-solving.
