Role Overview

The Consulting Manager position involves supporting public-sector clients to transition towards outcomes-based and evidence-driven approaches to social impact and grantmaking. This role requires leading client engagements, developing strategic solutions, and guiding organizations through necessary operational and organizational transformations. The role is suited for candidates with strong consulting experience, familiarity with complex public environments, change management or technology implementation skills, and the capacity to translate analysis into actionable strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete client project cycles, aligning client objectives around outcomes, evidence, and social impact into actionable strategies.
• Assist government clients in modifying funding strategies, decision-making frameworks, and performance management systems.
• Oversee project schedules, deliverables, and teams to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
• Create polished, insightful deliverables for senior-level stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted consultant to client leadership, anticipating needs and facilitating success.
• Conduct interactive sessions with diverse stakeholders including programmatic, policy, and leadership groups.
• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand service scope with existing clients.
• Contribute to the advancement of Mission Measurement’s service offerings for public-sector clients.
• Mentor analysts and data specialists to improve skills and uphold quality standards.
• Support proposal writing and thought leadership as the public-sector portfolio grows.
• Embody company principles: passion for social impact, rigor, relatability, agility, commercial thinking, and challenging norms.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary for this role is $115,000 annually. Benefits encompass comprehensive healthcare coverage, a flexible vacation policy, hybrid work options, 401K retirement plans, and a collaborative organizational culture.

Additional Information

This predominantly remote position is expected to transition to hybrid or onsite working arrangements by 2026. Candidates should be located near Washington DC or Chicago and must be willing to travel approximately once per month.
