Job description

Position Overview

The Manager for the Chief Proctor Office is responsible for ensuring discipline and order within the university through effective management and administration of disciplinary protocols and student conduct regulations.

Education and Industry Background

  • Postgraduate degree from a recognized institution; MBA preferred.
  • Experience in education sector is required; background in defence (particularly short service commission), legal field, or postgraduate qualifications in law is desirable.
  • 7 to 8 years of relevant professional experience expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct educational sessions addressing anti-ragging, substance abuse, harassment, physical altercations, and misconduct involving students, faculty, and staff.
  • Lead awareness campaigns and sensitization on zero tolerance policies related to anti-ragging, substance abuse, harassment, student misconduct, cybercrime, and campus discipline.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Ambassadors, School Proctors, and external experts to uphold standards of discipline.
  • Ensure upkeep of decorum in hostels and institutional events via routine inspections and surveillance.
  • Manage the disciplinary process including issuance of punishment and appeal orders, documentation of probation records, and allocation of mentors and teaching assistants.
  • Monitor continuous progress of students’ behavior improvements through mentor follow-ups.
  • Maintain comprehensive case management files, inclusive of evidence, notices, rulings, reports, statements, and other relevant documentation.
  • Provide accurate and timely disciplinary reports to the Appeal Committee, senior management, and other authorized personnel.
  • Handle emergency and critical incidents effectively by coordinating with law enforcement, government bodies, and university administration to apply appropriate safety and disciplinary measures.
