About Queensland Bulk Handling
Queensland Bulk Handling (QBH) operates as Brisbane's premier bulk handling export terminal and is fully owned by New Hope Group. Established in 1983, the facility is renowned for its exceptional safety record and efficient bulk handling services at the Port of Brisbane. Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Planner to ensure the upkeep of our assets is conducted safely, promptly, and economically. This position focuses on coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance tasks at the QBH site, ensuring they adhere to safety guidelines and effective maintenance practices.
- Plan and schedule maintenance operations to coincide with windows of opportunity within the operational schedule.
- Coordinate availability of necessary parts and labor for scheduled maintenance jobs.
- Assess requirements for repairs and replacements; provide the Operations Superintendent with insights on cost-effective maintenance solutions.
- Engage in both short-term and medium-term maintenance planning and organizational duties as directed.
- Maintain and update the ERP system, including preventative maintenance schedules, managing work orders, and ensuring data quality.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Mechanical Trade Qualification.
- Experience in maintenance planning, preferably within fixed plant environments, though not mandatory.
- Proficient with ERP software platforms.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Exhibit a positive mindset with a strong commitment to safety standards.
- Hold a valid open driver's license and be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
