Logistics Project Manager - Evening Shift

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a material localization initiative in India, focusing on logistics project management.

Responsibilities

• Gather logistics requirements from manufacturing plants early in the project phase to aid RFQ preparation.
• Convert the plants' logistical needs into precise directives for the Purchasing and sourcing teams.
• Assist with supplier validation and logistics activities related to PPAP.
• Coordinate logistics for material flow implementation after suppliers are selected.
• Define and ensure material flows to various receiving points.
• Collaborate closely with departments including Purchasing, R&D, Transport Operations, Plant Logistics, Packaging Development, and Material Control.
• Oversee project schedules, manage dependencies, assess risks, and ensure timely follow-ups.
• Support readiness activities for implementation, covering packaging, transportation, lead time, and flow design.
• Facilitate a smooth handover from the project phase to operational execution.
• Develop communication strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience in logistics project management or supply chain project support.
• Background in industrial or manufacturing environments, with a preference for automotive sector knowledge.
• Solid understanding of comprehensive logistics and material flow design.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Plants, and Suppliers.
• Familiar with PPAP and supplier readiness procedures.
• Exceptional skills in requirements gathering, coordination, planning, and follow-through.
• Capacity to work autonomously and drive initiatives forward.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Structured, analytical, and pragmatic problem-solving approach.
