Position Overview

The Logistics Director at K18 is responsible for the comprehensive management of the company's logistics operations, including warehousing, distribution, transportation, freight, customs, and order fulfillment on domestic and international scales. This leadership role entails strategizing, optimizing performance, cost control, and managing partnerships with 3PL providers, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers. The Director supervises managers across Freight & Customs, Logistics/Fulfillment, and Transportation divisions, driving operational standards, continuous enhancements, and ensuring timely and compliant deliveries while maintaining service levels and cost efficiency. This position plays a critical role in scaling logistics as K18 expands across markets and channels.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and nurture the logistics team by setting clear objectives, KPIs, and fostering professional growth.
Develop and implement logistics strategies covering warehousing, distribution, freight, and customs aligned with business growth and regional rollout plans.
Manage the logistics operating budget with a focus on optimizing costs across parcel, less-than-truckload/full truckload (LTL/FTL), ocean, and air freight.
Document and refine operational procedures systematically.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Planning, Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Customer Service to align logistics goals with overall company objectives.
Oversee 3PL and warehouse partners in North America, UK, and EU for accuracy, throughput, and on-time in-full performance.
Control the entire order management process to ensure service levels and revenue retention.
Establish and monitor performance metrics and dashboards, initiating corrective measures and driving continuous improvements.
Supervise international and domestic freight, import/export compliance, and duty management through the Freight & Customs Manager.
Ensure adherence to all trade, customs, and regulatory requirements, including Incoterms, HS classifications, and country-of-origin documentation.
Analyze and optimize carrier lanes, freight mix, and costs through data-driven methods.
Control logistics-related costs, approve invoices and accruals, and support financial month-end processes ensuring accurate cost and inventory data.
Communicate logistics cost variances, risks, and savings opportunities to the leadership team.
Analyze chargebacks promptly to safeguard company profitability.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including disruptions, tariff modifications, capacity limits, and compliance concerns.
Ensure compliance with ISO, health and safety, and trade standards.
Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned, remaining adaptable to evolving business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or related fields; MBA is advantageous.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in logistics/distribution, with at least 3 years in managerial roles leading teams.
Proven expertise managing relationships with 3PLs, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers on both domestic and international fronts.
In-depth knowledge of transportation modes including parcel, LTL/FTL, ocean, and air, alongside customs/trade compliance and on-time in-full delivery management.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and proficiency in advanced Excel and data analytics.
Success in cost reduction, capacity planning, and continuous process improvements, especially within consumer packaged goods or wholesale sectors.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage executive-level stakeholders effectively.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 15–25%) to visit 3PLs, contract manufacturers, and partners.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, with the exact amount depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and job location.
