About Hatch
Hatch builds smart sleep products and science-backed sleep content that help people rest more deeply, wake more gently, and feel better throughout the day. The company serves millions of sleepers, with products used in nurseries and on nightstands across the U.S. and beyond. Hatch is based in California and offers a remote-friendly work environment.
Role Overview
Hatch is looking for a logistics specialist focused on creating scalable, repeatable distribution workflows as the business expands. This position centers on retail operations while also supporting broader omni-channel logistics. The work blends logistics, sales operations, and project management, and candidates with strong project or technical backgrounds are encouraged to apply even if they have limited direct logistics experience.
The company is open to candidates across the U.S. and Canada, but availability during PST/PDT business hours is required.
Key Responsibilities
In the first month, the role involves supporting wholesale order processing for retail partners, using inventory and logistics data to guide decisions, managing bulk and recurring order requests, helping with shipping requests tied to marketing efforts, backing up order issue resolution in Shopify and the warehouse portal, and keeping teams and vendors informed about order and inventory status.
By the third month, the coordinator is expected to take part in 3PL vendor management, address SLA gaps and order discrepancies, pursue credits for retail chargebacks, work with accounting and channel teams on deduction disputes and unpaid invoices, handle retailer onboarding, and assist the marketing team with retail channel campaigns.
After six months, the role expands to identifying ordering patterns that affect future inventory, reporting on partner KPIs such as lead time, OTIF, and non-compliance deductions, leading process-improvement initiatives that simplify or automate manual work using AI and systems thinking, maintaining EDI connections with retail partners and warehouse systems, and contributing to cross-functional programs with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in logistics or sales operations in a CPG-related environment such as consumer electronics, food and beverage, or health and beauty. You should have experience managing technical projects with multiple stakeholders, familiarity with API, EDI, and iPaaS concepts, and practical exposure to integrations with internal and external developers. Intermediate Excel skills are needed, including pivot tables, data joins, and data transformation, along with the ability to learn new formulas quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication, knowledge of warehouse order management, a resourceful and collaborative approach, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines are important. The role also calls for strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking ability, empathy when working with employees and customers, and a builder mindset with an AI-positive attitude.
Applicants with added experience in EDI, warehouse and shipping operations, inventory management, retail sales operations across channels such as Target or Amazon, retail chargeback disputes, AP inquiries through vendor portals, NetSuite or other ERPs, and ecommerce order/shipping settings in Shopify will be especially competitive.
Perks & Benefits
