Role Summary

As a Logistics Coordinator within regional Control Towers, you will oversee operational activities and provide comprehensive visibility to clients. You will engage in multi-modal logistics execution for diverse Fortune 500 clients, playing a vital role in planning transportation, managing shipment exceptions, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This role represents the frontline responsibility for transportation execution and profoundly influences client success.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize BridgeNet's TMS (Xonar) and integrated visibility platforms as essential tools for daily operations, impacting outcome quality through expert system usage.
• Coordinate multi-modal transport planning including load and consolidation decisions, balancing costs, service commitments, and client protocols in a high-volume shipment setting.
• Analyze 3PL routing guides to select carriers emphasizing cost-efficiency, service quality, and compliance, escalating issues when guidelines do not provide solutions.
• Manage the entire spot quoting process to ensure competitive, timely bids that fulfill cost and service targets.
• Proactively identify and resolve shipment exceptions before client impact, independently diagnosing problems and ensuring timely resolution.
• Act as the main contact for clients and carriers on transport communications, diligently managing relationships and information flow.
• Ensure communications comply fully and follow up vigorously on any discrepancies.
• Lead the cargo claims process from identification to resolution, coordinating with carriers and internal teams to protect client interests.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends in issues and inefficiencies, elevating execution standards for the team and clients.

• Adept at working within matrixed organizations spanning multiple geographies and cultures.
• Capable of prioritizing competing demands efficiently, triaging workload to keep crucial tasks moving without neglecting details.
• Curious and eager to understand and improve operational processes amid evolving business needs and new technologies.
• Comfortable with logistics and supply chain technologies, including TMS, visibility, and analytics tools; prior experience with such software is advantageous.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related discipline preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain or logistics roles.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Relevant experience within supply chain or logistics industries.
• Understanding of servicing organizations.
• Exposure to international business environments.
• Spanish language proficiency, both written and verbal.

Travel and Work Hours

• Travel requirements are minimal, less than 5%.
• Meetings and calls may take place outside normal business hours to accommodate global coordination.
