Ikano Pte. Ltd. runs three omnichannel stores in Singapore: IKEA Alexandra, IKEA Tampines, and IKEA Jurong.

Role Overview

As the Local Marketing & Communication Intern, you will report to the Local Marketing and Communication Manager and help support and coordinate marketing and communication activities for the main market area (MMA).

Key Responsibilities

• Study customer profiles and behaviour through research to support marketing decisions.
• Join brainstorming discussions to contribute ideas for campaigns and communications.
• Help produce content and visual assets for different communication channels.
• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events.
• Take on administrative and operational work as needed.
• Contribute to the development of plans that back the Singapore Local Marketing & Communication team’s initiatives.
• Manage store internal communication channels such as digital signage, notice boards, Microsoft communication platforms, the IKANO One Intranet, and store content.
• Coordinate with the Service Office Corporate Communication Team and other stakeholders to encourage participation and follow good practices across channels.

Requirements

• Self-driven and able to work with little supervision.
• Quick to learn and keen to build knowledge of the IKEA brand and business.
• Strong ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
• Good spoken and written communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with people and working collaboratively.
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is mandatory.
• Prior exposure to marketing or graphic-related work will be an advantage.
• Willing to work retail shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Able to work across all three Singapore stores: Tampines, Alexandra, and Jurong.
• Available for a minimum commitment of 6 months.

Additional Information

This position requires retail-hour availability and shift work. The intern should be prepared to cover weekends and public holidays, and should be able to operate across the three Singapore locations.
