Light Duty Cleaner

Overview

Iqaluit Dental Clinic is seeking a dedicated Light Duty Cleaner to maintain a clean and sanitary environment within their healthcare facility in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada. This is an onsite, full-time position. The role involves a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas of the clinic are well-maintained and hygienic.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
• Dust all furniture and surfaces regularly.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, upholstery, and draperies.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Thoroughly disinfect operating rooms and other clinical areas.
• Provide basic directional information to visitors regarding clinic facilities.
• Collect and dispose of debris and empty trash receptacles.
• Undertake general light housekeeping and cleaning tasks as needed.
• Clean windows, walls, and ceilings.

Requirements

• No specific degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
• Training will be provided for the role.
• Must be able to work on-site; remote work is not an option.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and handle physically demanding work.
• Requires a high level of attention to detail.
• Must be comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with extended periods of standing.
• Must possess punctuality, dependability, and reliability.
