Role Overview

As a Lifeguard at Grand Millennium Al Wahda, your primary duty is to safeguard guests around swimming pools and water recreational zones by supervising activities, enforcing safety protocols, and reacting promptly to aquatic emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously observe pool activities to ensure guest safety.
• Implement and uphold pool safety regulations and rules.
• Execute water rescues and provide first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Inspect pool facilities, lifeguard equipment, and emergency supplies prior to each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and order around the pool deck and adjacent zones.
• Immediately report any safety hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues.
• Carry out routine water safety inspections and support pool opening and closing operations.
• Deliver courteous and professional guest service, responding to inquiries and offering help.
• Keep detailed records of incidents and daily operational activities.
• Adhere strictly to the hotel's health, safety, and emergency policies.

Requirements

• Prior lifeguard experience within a hotel, resort, or recreational facility is advantageous.
• Possession of a valid UAE Lifeguard Certification from an accredited institution.
• Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications are mandatory.
• Strong swimming and rescue competencies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Remain composed and respond efficiently during emergency situations.
• Good physical condition with the ability to work outdoors for lengthy periods.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Proficient English language skills; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.

• Experience in hospitality or luxury hotel settings.
