Position Overview

We seek an energetic and proactive Recreation professional eager to advance their career as a Lifeguard at Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi. This role centers around ensuring the safety and well-being of swimmers and maintaining swimming area standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Alert swimmers about hazardous or restricted swimming zones.
• Rescue individuals in peril of drowning and deliver first aid as necessary.
• Maintain discipline and order within swimming zones.
• Test and regulate water quality by checking chlorine levels and pH with testing kits.
• Organize and supervise swimming competitions and provide swimming tutorials.
• Keep the pool area clean and ensure sun loungers are positioned correctly, clean, and functional.
• Regularly measure pool temperature to comply with safety standards.
• Maintain a debris-free pool deck during operational hours.
• Secure umbrellas properly and fasten them when not in use to ensure safety.
• Offer emergency care until medical personnel arrive.
• Be knowledgeable about the club’s facilities, schedules, promotions, and pricing.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate is a trained and certified professional swimmer and lifeguard holding a diploma or university degree, preferably with prior experience in the hotel sector. Physical fitness and ability to perform lengthy shifts outdoors are crucial. Proficiency in English and strong interpersonal skills are beneficial.
