Role Overview
The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring guests enjoy a clean, sanitized, and relaxing stay. Responsibilities include cleaning, tidying, and maintaining guest rooms and public areas within hotels, lodges, and cabins to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming guest rooms.
- Replacing bed linens and making beds.
- Disinfecting and cleaning washrooms.
- Meeting housekeeping requests from guests efficiently.
- Working independently or with a partner as needed.
- Sanitizing shared spaces such as public areas, elevators, and washrooms.
- Completing assigned housekeeping duties thoroughly and promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior housekeeping experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for providing excellent guest experiences.
- Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks with attention to detail and consistency.
- Team-oriented mindset and effective organizational skills.
- Must possess Alberta Pro Serve Certification.
- Meet company grooming and appearance standards.
