About the Role
If you take pride in hard work and enjoy physical, hands-on tasks—in particular transforming outdoor spaces—this opportunity might be perfect for you. We are seeking a Landscape Labourer to join our team for seasonal employment. Your work will support the enhancement and beautification of multi-family residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport and handle materials, equipment, and supplies between work locations.
- Operate various hand and power landscaping tools safely and effectively.
- Clear debris and yard waste to maintain clean and hazard-free work areas.
- Enhance curb appeal by landscaping, painting signage and curbs, and other related tasks.
- Repair and maintain lawns by spreading seed, soil, or peat moss, along with cutting, trimming, raking, weeding, feeding, and watering.
- Prune flowers, shrubs, and trees as needed.
- Plant new trees and remove existing ones when necessary.
- Manage insect and fungal issues by applying pesticides and herbicides professionally.
- Sweep and maintain parking lot cleanliness.
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety protocols at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support property maintenance.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum one year of landscaping or relevant labour experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Capability to multitask and execute assigned duties efficiently.
- Strong communication skills with ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions.
- Adaptability to fast-paced work environments.
- Commitment to maintaining quality workmanship and safety standards.
- Having a pesticide and herbicide applicator’s license is advantageous.
- Flexibility for potential 24/7 availability.
- Physical strength to lift loads up to 50 pounds as required.
- Willingness to travel to different property locations as necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wages range from $20 to $25, dependent on skills, education, and experience.
