- Collaborate with UI/UX leads, product owners, engineers, and users to understand requirements and simplify intricate workflows.
- Utilize and enhance an existing design system, component libraries, and web UI standards.
- Implement visual design, interaction, accessibility, and usability standards consistently.
- Support user research efforts including preparation, note-taking, feedback collection, usability testing, and data synthesis.
- Take part in design critiques, product planning, and team discussions.
- Work closely with engineering teams to clarify design intent and adapt designs to technical constraints during implementation.
- Incorporate feedback from users, colleagues, stakeholders, and engineers to refine designs.
- Maintain documentation of design directions and organize design assets for team access.
Requirements and Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and possession of an active TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph, or willingness to obtain one.
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or pursuing) in UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Web Design, or related fields; equivalent experience considered.
- Between zero to two years of experience including academic projects, internships, or professional roles in UI/UX design for web apps.
- Experience working alongside users, product managers, fellow designers, and developers.
- A design portfolio showcasing the design process and UI/UX projects, including academic, professional, volunteer, or personal work.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Knowledge of contemporary web app design and JavaScript front-end environments like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility guidelines, usability principles, and user-centered design methodologies.
- Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and engage constructively in feedback sessions.
- Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, component-based design, and constraints involved in front-end development.
- Keen interest to learn about complex, data-driven, mission-critical software design and development.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and eagerness to grow professionally.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience or exposure to Agile product development methodologies.

- Exposure to Motion GEOINT, geospatial software, mapping applications, or related areas.
- Familiarity with designing scalable UI systems using reusable components.
- Experience with developer handoff methods and tools.
- Basic understanding of front-end coding practices within HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience designing complex dashboards, data-rich interfaces, or analytical tools.
- Knowledge of user research techniques, usability testing, and analytics-based design improvements.
- Strong skills in managing multiple design tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- An understanding of web usability and user experience principles.
- Ability to leverage AI tools for automating repetitive tasks, accelerating prototyping, and enhancing daily design productivity without compromising quality.
Preferred Personal Traits
