Overview
Join SMX's Space and Intelligence Business Unit based in Boulder, CO, where we are pioneering next-generation remote sensing technologies for the Space Force across all orbital regimes including LEO, MEO, HEO, and GEO. Our team integrates and supports space-ground systems encompassing real-time data processing, sensor data analytics, and visualization. Collaborate with industry leaders dedicated to delivering cutting-edge capabilities to address critical defense intelligence needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the secondary liaison with customers, managing communications and program interactions.
- Develop and analyze cost reports essential for program oversight.
- Manage contract-related activities, including setup in financial software, modification reviews, funding tracking, and variance analyses.
- Prepare Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and support status and customer meetings.
- Assist with Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and proposal development.
- Monitor program dependencies and risks, delivering monthly status updates.
- Create and maintain project schedules to meet program goals.
- Support initial program phases to establish infrastructure and ensure compliance with contracts.
- Provide people management leadership to employees within the Space & Intelligence Business Unit.
Required Qualifications
- Active Interim DoD Secret Clearance with U.S. citizenship mandatory due to security requirements; successful background screening is necessary.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in project engineering, program management, or finance, with advanced degrees counting as additional experience.
- Proven track record managing software development programs in defense and aerospace, especially for subcontractors.
- Comprehensive understanding of the government software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency with program management tools including Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated personnel management experience overseeing teams of ten or more.
- Strong organizational capabilities paired with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Preferred Experience
- Domain knowledge of remote sensing systems or ground architectures, particularly with Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data processing.
- Familiarity with software such as CostPoint, FocusPoint, Salesforce, and Greenhouse.
Additional Information
Position requires onsite presence in Boulder, CO five days a week.
