Junior OT Security Engineer

Role Overview

Join our team as a Junior OT Security Engineer where you will contribute to designing security concepts and architectures for components in the railway and industrial sectors. Collaborate with an experienced team to implement cybersecurity regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act and conduct comprehensive risk and threat analyses.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop security architectures and concepts for railway and industrial components alongside seasoned professionals.
• Support compliance efforts related to the Cyber Resilience Act and other regulatory frameworks.
• Perform risk and threat assessments and evaluate their impact.
• Lead and coordinate penetration testing activities within Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• Assess vulnerabilities discovered during testing and manage their resolution within client projects.
• Implement software components related to security solutions.

Candidate Profile

• Completed studies in IT security, computer science, or equivalent qualifications such as OSCP certification.
• Familiarity with standards IEC 62443 and TS 50701 and a strong interest in security aspects in rail vehicles combined with a passion for software development.
• Proficient in programming languages including C, C++, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience in penetration testing, preferably within Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and OT environments.
• Proven track record of identifying security vulnerabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in German and good proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Analytical mindset with structured thinking and the ability to work independently.
• Strong teamwork capabilities, curiosity, and openness to new challenges.
