Job description
Role Overview
The Junior Operations and Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting daily business functions including purchasing, inventory management, warehouse coordination, inbound logistics, sales administration, and e-commerce order processing. This position demands excellent coordination abilities, a keen eye for detail, and effective communication with both internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee purchasing transactions by managing vendor profiles, issuing Purchase Orders (POs), processing Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), vendor invoices, and debit notes using the Zoho ERP system.
- Handle customer order processing, including managing Sales Orders (SOs), invoices, packing slips, and credit notes accurately.
- Maintain precise inventory documentation and collaborate with warehouse teams to address stock discrepancies, handle damaged items, and carry out inventory adjustments.
- Coordinate inbound shipments via air and sea, manage customs clearance procedures, and liaise with freight forwarders, transportation providers, and warehouse delivery teams.
- Manage orders on multiple e-commerce platforms such as Amazon Vendor & Carrier Central, Noon, and Talabat, ensuring orders are processed, dispatched timely, returns managed, and deliveries tracked.
- Generate operational reports and maintain comprehensive records within the ERP system.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with suppliers, warehouse personnel, transporters, and internal stakeholders to facilitate seamless operations.
- Assist the Operations Manager with various administrative and operational tasks, proactively identifying and escalating potential issues.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Between one and three years of professional experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or inventory coordination roles.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms, preferably Zoho; knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
- Good understanding of inventory control, purchasing processes, warehouse operations, and international import/export logistics.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Noon, or Talabat is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities, coupled with problem-solving aptitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
