Role Overview
The Junior Creative Producer will join the video production team to develop original video content spanning Hearst UK's celebrated brands including Cosmopolitan UK, ELLE UK, Harper's Bazaar UK, and others. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and creative individual at the start of their career with a passion for YouTube, social media, and digital storytelling. The candidate will collaborate with producers, videographers, and editors in content creation featuring celebrities, influencers, and experts, gaining comprehensive insight into the production stages.
Key Duties
- Assist producers in planning and executing original video content across various brands.
- Generate innovative ideas for YouTube series, social-first videos, and editorial franchises.
- Conduct research on talents, trends, and cultural moments to inspire fresh content concepts.
- Coordinate production logistics, prepare necessary shoot documents, and support planning efforts.
- Participate in on-location and studio shoots with celebrities, creators, and contributors.
- Help script interviews, games, challenges, and editorial formats alongside producers.
- Collaborate with editors during post-production to refine and enhance final video edits.
- Manage content upload processes, ensure quality control, and assist with production administration.
- Track and analyze published content performance, offering insights to improve future productions.
- Remain informed about key digital platforms including YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram and their evolving trends.
Candidate Profile
- A strong passion for digital media platforms, particularly YouTube and social media, with insight into producing engaging content.
- Experience in video content production through professional work, internships, freelance projects, university assignments, or personal channels, especially original YouTube or social content.
- Creative mindset with enthusiasm for idea development.
- Excellent organizational skills to juggle various tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong communicator who works well in a team environment.
- Motivated to learn and excel across all video production stages.
- Interest in collaborating with high-profile talent and contributing to prominent video productions.
- Hands-on experience assisting with studio and location filming.
- Well-versed in YouTube creators, digital publishing, and social media trends.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable video editing software.
- Basic understanding of YouTube analytics and social media insights.
- Experience working with talent or supporting press events is advantageous.
Compensation
The role offers an approximate salary of £38,000 per annum, adjusted based on the candidate's expertise, knowledge, and skills.
