Junior Analyst Data & Customer Insights

About the Role

Netto Marken-Discount ensures the daily supply of millions of customers with groceries and everyday products across approximately 4,400 locations and 20 logistics hubs. Supporting critical logistics, personnel, procurement, and administrative processes, the company utilizes a variety of standard and proprietary software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the analytical CRM team at the Maxhütte-Haidhof site with diverse tasks.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to extract meaningful insights that facilitate data-driven customer-related decisions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand user behavior and business impacts, identify opportunities, and validate hypotheses.
• Advance the internal analysis portfolio leveraging machine learning techniques.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer behavior patterns.
• Create insightful reports and design clear dashboards.
• Implement and enhance new selection methods and algorithms for direct marketing.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build predictive models to guide decision-making throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
• Automate selection processes in partnership with the IT department.

Your Profile

• You have strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working with data.
• An academic degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics/econometrics, controlling, or a related discipline.
• Solid analytical abilities with the capacity to turn data into actionable insights.
• Experience with big data technologies, preferably Azure Stack and Databricks, and familiarity with data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI or KNIME.
• Data science expertise and proficiency in Python or R, alongside SQL for querying relational databases and extracting data.
• Desirable knowledge of machine learning techniques to perform clustering, classification, regression, and simulation analyses.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities for effective collaboration across departments.
• High degree of independence and motivation to tackle challenging and varied tasks successfully.
• Fluency in both German and English languages.
