Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous ITS Asset Manager based in Doha, Qatar, to serve as the essential liaison between ITS Operations/Technical Teams and Asset Management. This position involves managing operational, maintenance, and lifecycle data from Road Control Centers, Tunnel Control Centers, communication networks, and related control systems. The role is critical for developing asset management insights and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ITS infrastructure assets including RCCs, TCCs, communication networks (fiber optics, switches, transmission systems), SCADA/ATMS platforms, server rooms, and power supply systems.
- Collaborate with ITS technical experts to gather, validate, and organize asset and maintenance data for asset management use.
- Design and oversee asset maintenance strategies alongside technical specialists.
- Maintain and enhance asset registers, hierarchies, and classification schemes aligned with contract demands and asset management standards.
- Analyze maintenance metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, availability, and failure patterns to transform KPIs into asset performance indicators.
- Develop asset condition assessment criteria and scoring systems to aid risk-based prioritization.
- Assist with lifecycle planning, forecasting asset renewal needs, and long-term capital investment strategies.
- Detect recurrent failures, systemic risks, and obsolescence issues and recommend suitable mitigation measures.
- Create detailed asset performance reports and management dashboards for internal and client use.
- Ensure data accuracy within Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS) including correct failure coding and asset tagging.
- Work cross-functionally with multiple disciplines ensuring integrated ITS operations and asset management approaches.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and the delivery of asset-related reports and documentation.
- Drive continuous improvements in maintenance strategies and asset governance processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure operations, maintenance, ITS systems, or asset management.
- Comprehensive understanding of asset management concepts, lifecycle methodologies, and performance tracking.
- Hands-on experience with EAMS and managing infrastructure data.
- Familiarity with control center operations, communication networks, SCADA/ATMS platforms, and critical IT infrastructure systems.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and adeptness in managing structured asset data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven capability working within multicultural teams and coordinating among diverse technical areas.
- Previous involvement in GCC infrastructure or transportation authority initiatives is advantageous.
- Professional certifications in Asset Management such as IAM or CMRP are a plus.
