Role Overview

The position of IT Store Employee is integral to the efficient oversight and distribution of IT hardware and software assets within the organization. This role demands a highly organized and detail-focused professional who manages inventory, handles logistical operations meticulously, and ensures seamless allocation of resources. Certification in ITIL is mandatory to facilitate adherence to established IT service management principles.

Key Duties

• Manage and maintain a comprehensive inventory of IT equipment, software, and consumable supplies.
• Verify and process incoming deliveries by reconciling received items with official invoices and updating inventory records promptly.
• Accurately prepare and dispatch IT equipment to internal departments, ensuring stock availability and order fulfillment timeliness.
• Perform scheduled audits of inventory to validate stock accuracy and compile detailed reports for IT leadership.
• Liaise with procurement and IT teams to plan orders of supplies and maintain vendor relationships effectively.
• Contribute to the setup of new IT equipment, including software installation, configuration, and updating processes.
• Track the issue and return of IT resources to employees, maintaining precise issuance logs.
• Maintain orderly and secure storage environments for all IT assets.
• Manage the return process of faulty equipment to manufacturers for repair or replacement.
• Support environmentally responsible disposal and recycling of outdated or damaged IT hardware in line with company policy and regulatory standards.

Required Expertise and Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience working in large-scale IT store operations.
• Proficient in IT Asset Management aligned with the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) standards and asset management systems.
• Experience assigning and tracking IT assets for users, including managing asset movements.
• Implement secure data wiping and disposal procedures to safeguard sensitive information at device end-of-life.
• Familiar with IT Service Management platforms and ticketing systems.
• Skilled in incident handling, change management, and service request fulfillment.
• Thorough understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA) enforcement including response, escalation, notification, and resolution benchmarks.
• Certified in ITIL Foundation (V3 or V4).
• Possession of IT hardware certification.
• Excellent professional communication, including written email, telephone etiquette, and call center skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving capabilities.
• Physical capability to handle, move, and sort IT equipment safely.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Credentials

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).
• CompTIA Security+, Network+, and Systems+ certifications.
• Cloud Foundation certification or an equivalent credential.
• International Computer Driving License (ICDL).
• Proficiency in Arabic and Hindi languages, both written and spoken.

Technical Skills

• In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking and system administration.
• Knowledge and application of ITIL best practices.
• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Awareness of cloud computing technologies and security protocols.
