Role Overview
The IT Administrator will take ownership of the company’s computing environment, endpoints, network setup, and core technology assets so they run securely and efficiently. The position covers system installation, upgrades, issue resolution, security controls, and day-to-day support for users and internal IT activities.
Core Responsibilities
- Keep computer systems running reliably and at strong performance levels.
- Set up, update, configure, and support hardware, software, and other IT equipment.
- Apply security measures such as antivirus tools, backup routines, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights to protect organizational information.
- Deliver hands-on technical assistance for hardware, software, and network problems.
- Run diagnostics, identify faults, and resolve IT issues through debugging and troubleshooting.
- Maintain records of configurations, procedures, and issue-resolution steps.
- Help introduce and enforce IT policies and operating procedures that improve efficiency and security.
- Support new joiners with system access, device setup, and basic IT orientation.
- Keep track of current technology developments and suggest suitable upgrades or improvements.
- Coordinate with vendors and outside service providers when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- A B.Tech degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified IT Professional, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco credentials are preferred.
- The role calls for 8+ years of experience in IT administration or a closely related position.
- Applicants should have solid working knowledge of network infrastructure, operating systems including Windows, Linux, and MacOS, as well as enterprise software.
- Experience with servers, virtualization, and cloud platforms will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability, problem-solving capability, and organizational discipline are important.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are expected.
