Role Overview
VAST Steel is looking for an experienced Ironworker/Welder to strengthen their workforce. The position includes welding, assembling, and installing structural steel elements while prioritizing safety, quality, and operational efficiency at various project locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on steel parts.
- Construct, bolt, and weld structural steel components as outlined in technical plans.
- Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and hoists to safely position steel structures.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols during all tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess 3 to 5 years of hands-on welding and ironworking experience.
- Competent in interpreting construction plans, technical details, and welding symbols.
- Capable of achieving AWS welding certification.
- Physically fit to lift weights up to 50 pounds and capable of working at elevated heights.
