The investment banking group serves clients with deep sector knowledge and practical, market-led advice. The team delivers Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, M&A, Debt Advisory and Restructuring, Debt Private Placements, and Fund Placement & Advisory services to high-growth, entrepreneurial middle-market companies.
Role Overview
The Equity Capital Markets team in New York is hiring an Analyst. This role offers substantial responsibility, close exposure to senior leadership and clients, and the chance to build skills quickly in a small, fast-moving transaction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Create client presentation materials and build detailed financial models.
- Analyze live and historical market information to help shape client recommendations.
- Assist with equity, SPAC, and convertible transactions across the firm’s core industry sectors.
- Conduct research and keep internal team databases accurate and up to date.
- Help run equity and equity-linked offerings while coordinating with client management and outside counterparties.
- Take part in firm marketing efforts and recruiting-related activities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of full-time professional experience is required; current students are not eligible.
- Commercially minded with a strong understanding of capital markets.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail in deliverables.
- Collaborative approach and solid work ethic.
- Prior exposure to equity, SPAC, or convertible transactions is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Dealogic, Ipreo, CapIQ, FactSet, PlacementTracker, Bloomberg, and the MS Office suite is strongly preferred.
- SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 FINRA registrations must be held at the time of hire or obtained shortly afterward.
Compensation
The New York salary range for this position is estimated at $110,000 to $130,000 in annual base pay. Final compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, experience, licensing, certifications, and broader business needs. Some roles may also qualify for a discretionary bonus.
